Life from where we are

   ......or how cold is freezing? Just to let you know this post is not about the weather.....  at least not directly, but as a result! We have an extra refrigerator in the garage for the typical overflow of when I go on one of my mad cooking rampages or more importantly for my "slight" obsession with this .  A few weeks ago when the temperature was hovering in the single digits I went out to the garage to get my ice cream & found (insert scream) I could drink it instead of using a spoon.  It was very obvious to me that the freezer was not working.  I informed Popster of the dilemma but his solution was to wait a couple days til the weather warmed up to see if that would make a difference.  Meantime I emptied the freezer of all essential ice cream food! Sure enough after a couple days of warmer temps the freezer got colder.  Is it me or does that sentence make no sense?   I waited more than a week & went out to stock up on the i...

After hanging around all day Friday waiting for Nemo we went to bed that night expecting to wake up & find ourselves snowed in. This was our yard early Saturday morning. Only about 5 inches of snow! At lunch time there were bright blue skies So we drove over to the park........ ......& let Molly do her crazy act in nice fresh powder! .......it was so beautiful in the woods but as you can tell by Popster's coat extremely cold! This crazy dog just keeps "burrowing" her face in it until she is all icicles.

There is a conspiracy going on in my house with anything electronic & they are all ganging up on me..  It started with our spare refrigerator that we have in the garage(which is a whole other story for another "popster" post) & this past week has spread like wildfire.   One of the most "tragic" episodes was when my sewing machine became possessed & started sewing at will instead of stopping & starting when I wanted it to.  I had to take in in for repair & was told it could be two weeks before I get it back. I cried all the way home! We were stuck in last night because of Nemo(whole other story of "scare tactics" from the weatherman.....they probably were in co-hoots  with all the appliances in my house) so I decided to watch something from prime time on demand.  Just as the show was ending the remote control DEMANDED that I put new batteries in it! LiLi didn't have school Monday soshe spent the day with me. We began our day doing the puzzles in the paper over breakfast.....she was able to figure some of the answers! That's what this grin is all about......Miss Smarty-pants. Then we made chicken soup & she was in charge of the carrots. This pic cracks me up....she was trying to chop them with a butter knife! We then made apple spice muffins Really getting into the job of doing dishes Why is the "lala" going up.....". because she is singing high notes silly !" This little girl is 6 years old today.......Happy Birthday LiLi! Have fun in Disney!

In case you can't figure it out Dani is the "red-headed stepchild" in green & LiLi is dancing with her.

LiLi has been going to chinese dance lessons for about a year now & today they were in a chinese new year celebration at the library. If you look carefully at this group you will notice there is a red-head among them....that would be Dani. They managed to coerce her into dancing along with the group They did two different routines & the second one I tried to video so I have to figure out how to edit it before I can post it......maybe later! Of course no chinese new year celebration is complete without a dragon As you can see Miss LiLi had a lot of fun!

Just a week ago I did a post about how ridiculously cold the weather was........... ........yesterday the temperature got up to 58 degrees!!! ......it was 48 degs when I got up this morning & between the warm temps & the rain we had all night almost all the snow melted, however, it is getting so windy & the temps are plummeting! ......this is what you do to make up for the "ugliness" outside......... .....you buy flowers.....the brighter the better....especially if they look like sunshine!
