Stick Season

The woods are eerily beautiful some days & other days when the sun doesn't shine I call it stick season.  Most of these pics are black & white as they were taken on a cloudy gray day. Every once in a while I do walk ahead...... ........but mostly I'm dragging behind because I have my camera We had gone to Saratoga this day for chowder fest & cut through the park.....look at all the ducks hanging out on the only pond that isn't frozen! As you can tell it was very cold that day. Molly waiting patiently in line  Look at the lines of people on the other side of the street.  We had some good chowder but didn't stay long as it was so cold! Love Val๐Ÿ’–

Free to run

The dogs were'nt able to go to the park to run for a couple of days because of the weather  This is crazy Molly running from the car to the baseball field.  We have to get Luna in there  first so she can get a head start  As you can see there aren't many tracks in the snow.....it was still really cold  This dog just loves the snow.....only trouble is it takes forever to get the snow off that fur!  This always happens at one point during the hike.  One of them finds a stick & then they fight over it & get all tangled up in Luna's leash! Happy Birthday LiLi

We went to Mark & Dani's on sunday to celebrate LiLi's 11th birthday.  Yes 11!  She is now now a "tween"!  It being the super bowl she had created a game jersey & was decked out ready to watch the big game  I decided to pull a switcheroo & made a laminated card for her the same as she does for all of us.  I had substituted pictures for a lot of the words so it took her a few minutes to figure out what her gift was! Time needs to slow down......it couldn't possibly be 9 years since we celebrated this.....her 2nd birthday but first one with us. Love Val ๐Ÿ’–

Luna turns 2

When Jessie adopted Luna they didn't know her exact age as she had come from a shelter down in Georgia.  She decided Feb 1st would be her birthday. They are getting peanut butter frosty paws .....doggie ice cream This one is so funny because if you look at Luna's face she has her eye on Molly's ice cream like she's plotting how to end with both of them๐Ÿ˜œ In actual fact Luna was lucky she got a party & ice cream as earlier in the day she ran off in the woods & we couldn't find her for about 20 mins. She gave both Jessie & I a heart attack & poor Molly was so stressed because Jess & I split up to  cover more ground.  She didn't know who to stay with & kept running back & forth between us.  When Luna finally appeared Molly got right in her face barking like she was telling her off.  Too funny!
