Christmas Eve

This year was far different from normal for the holidays....but then again it happens a lot with us.  JoAnne & Peter came weds night but Peter wasn't feeling too good so ended up at urgent care during the night & they ended up driving back to New York at 5:30am on christmas eve.

It was so beautiful out.....the temps hit a record 72 degs so we took Molly over to the bike path by the river.

 Yes it was that warm:)!

 After dinner we drove over to one of the neighborhoods that all out with christmas lights
 We parked & walked around with Molly

 It was a full moon & so strange because it was so warm out
 Here's proof I did manage to decorate the tree!

    Lily couldn't get over people jogging in the UK in shorts, it was cold, really cold. I hope Molly like her pressie and that you all had a great Chrstmas

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot.  When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow.  Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out.  I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly.  Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes.  It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet.  Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. Liza's treat ball

This is one of the most important things in our house - it is Liza's treat ball! I bought this about 9 or 10 years ago & it had a "trap door" where the gaping hole is & when you put treats in it you could control how easily they would fall out as the ball rolled around. Liza learned that if she rolled it down the stairs the treats would usually fall out which is why it looks this way. I have tried super glue etc. but it never stays together! It is sadly beaten & broken but try as I may I have never been able to find another one like it. I have spent hours looking & have bought many similar but nothing will ever take it's place. She knows where it is almost all the time - usually keeps it in her bed - but when it's missing she just paces the house until someone helps her find it. She used to be able to hold it in her mouth like this by just hooking it onto her eye tooth Now she just puts her bottom jaw into the opening like this There is a rit...

Work, cat bites. hospital.....

After a long winter I went back to work on Thurday & as usual it was crazy with the phone ringing off the wall!  The weather wasn't that great but golfers in the northeast are like caged animals who are finally free!  We had good weather predicted for the weekend & I was scheduled to work both days.  After a very long day Saturday I finally got done around 8 pm & was meeting Popster & Jess in Ballston Spa at a surprise birthday party for Jeff & Colby.  Jess met me in the parking lot & said she was leaving as she had also worked all day.  She showed me her arm where she had been bitten by a cat earlier at work.  She had gone to urgent care & they gave her antibiotics & she went back to work. Before I left for work Sunday at 5:30am I woke her up to look at it & didn't like the way it was swelling up.  I told if it didn't look better when I got home at lunch we were going back to urgent care.
