Inside my head.........

............is a place you really don't want to be.  It's a jumbled up mess of plans & ideas.......kinda like pinterest on steroids!  No wonder I don't sleep at night!
Ever since we finished the patio last year it has bugged me that when I sit out there I could see the garbage cans.......I know....move them!  Not an option.  So I decided to make a screen to hide them.  It was such a great plan inside my head & I had it totally figured out even down to how I would manage to get a 4 x 8 sheet of lattice in my little car.  I did all the math & had all my figures on a little scrap of notebook paper that I kept losing!  The plan was to get someone at H*me Dep*t to cut out the pieces I needed.
WRONG!  Big sign above the saw saying "We do NOT cut lattice"  Me, being me, asked anyway but they told me that it's plastic so not good for the blade.

Okay...plan B....go to L*wes.  Checked it out & no sign so I figured it was a go!

Popster caught wind of what I was up to & came with me.  I dragged my sheet of lattice over to the saw only to be told no!  See above reason.

Had I been alone this would have been my cue to say:  "Reallycomeonguysworkwithmenowhowdoyouexpectlittleolemetogetthishumongoussheetoflatticeinmylittlecar?" while pouting & other theatrics!

Apparently that only works with Popster!

Dang!  Now I had to listen to the lecture all the way home as to why I come up with such crazy ideas that I can't possibly do alone & it went on all the time he was helping cut out the pieces.  I think secretly he was enjoying it but wasn't going to let me know that!

My plan also included making this to hide the gas meter....after all I has a big humongous sheet of lattice to use up.  The top isn't finished yet but it will be today.
I was told I am not allowed to add any more projects to the "list" for at least a month!

I wonder if that includes the "list" that is inside my head?

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot.  When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow.  Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out.  I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly.  Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes.  It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet.  Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. We had to go to W*lmart in the middle of the project to get velcro to make the fasteners.  We then made her wear them around the house for a while ...

Sewing, weaving & emptying the waterbed

Monday morning began bright & early as we needed to finish emptying our bedroom.  Mark was dropping LiLi off before 8:00am as she does not have school this week.  We needed to drain the waterbed before we could take it apart.  As usual we were having no luck getting the water to siphon out & even resorted to having LiLi (all 35lbs of her) sitting on it with us!!  It probably took over an hour & who knows how many tries before it worked.  Got the mattress out & discovered the decking was falling apart.....good thing we decided to do this project,,,,I was able to find a local place so we can just replace it & to be safe I also got a new safety liner & heater.  I don't want to be doing this again for a while!  While Popster worked on replacing the baseboard & window trim in those two rooms LiLi & I started working on this doll kit she had gotten for her birthday.  All the pieces needed to be sewn togeth...

Today we have a riddle???

What do you get when you cross a pile of scraps, a sewing machine, a woman possessed, & a husband on a week long golf trip?  The following.........  This is a tablecloth for my kitchen table....forgot to take the finished pic  Cover for my sewing machine...very proud of this as I quilted the whole thing.  This is the back....got tired of doing squares!  Matching cover for my serger.  I meant to post these a while ago & must have forgot.  I have done a couple other projects since then which I will get around to posting soon.  Had computer problems so I have some catching up to do Love
