 "Hurry up & throw it....I'm ready!"  This dog is totally crazy!

We took Molly to the park as soon as Popster got home tonight......I was hoping for some sunset shots but he was a little later than normal so had to settle for sun down instead. This was in our driveway as we were leaving.....the geese are headed south! I love to find silhouettes of  "weird" looking trees......after they lose their leaves some trees take on a whole other personality! I had to try a black & white edit .....I think it looks a little "eerier"?

These were all taken within a space of about 10 minutes at lunch time today This is a female downy woodpecker I'm guessing this is her hubby This is a red bellied woodpecker.....this guy is very shy & the most difficult to get pictures of....he always goes to the other side of the suet so I can't get a full shot of him. There were several cardinals around All this needs is some snow on the branches Then the "guest of honor" showed up.....a pileated woodpecker He hung about on the tree for a while Then when he "dove" in for lunch went to the other side of the feeder.......I think they are the coolest of the woodpecker family!

I start cleaning windows today in the sun room I didn't get too far......the sun was shining, the birds were eating......... ........everyone knows it's bad to clean windows when the sun is shining.......... ..........I did 4 of them...... .........only 4 more & the sliding door to go.........that's not even halfway is it?

We went walking with Bob on Sat afternoon & discovered a new bike path It circles around & under this new bypass they built for the new tech park traffic I forgot to bring my camera so Popster & I went back on Sunday to walk it again.....we just ignored the sign! It starts partway down the Zimm Smith trail between Round Lake village & Shenantaha park As you can see it is not finished yet.....it goes through a lot of hilly areas so they are putting a fence up in a lot of places The trestle bridge you see in the background is where I took the first picture from This is close to the end where it begins to go back uphill This is about halfway up & you can just see the path through the trees. We are close to the end here.  It ends on Rte 9 but eventually will go al the way through to the tech park Round Lake is such a beautiful village with a lot of victorian style homes.
