Myrtle Beach

It was so cold when we got up this morning, the wind was howling & there was a heavy frost on the ground.  We were on the road early &arrived in Myrtle Beach late sunday afternoon.  By now the temperature was up in the mid 30's so we were able to take Molly for a nice walk around Tom & Carol's neighborhood.
She settled into their house like she owned it.

Popster & Tom were meeting Bob at Oyster Bay Monday morning to play golf.  It was very cloudy & rain was predicted but they, of course, went anyway.  Carol & I had a lazy start hanging out & catching up on life.  We put Molly in the car & found a place to walk her but it started to rain before we got too far.  We made our way up north to where the guys were hitting all the outlets & stores on the way.  Lots of fun!
It wasn't raining we got there & the guys had played their 18 holes without getting wet.  Carol Tom went back home & we went over to Bob's house(he lives 2 mins from Oyster Bay).  We picked up Noreen & Max & went to the beach.  I did get in trouble at this point because apparently the car was running on fumes......sorry but I don't pay attention to gas tanks!
It was a little windy & not that warm but we had a great walk followed by a great dinner & a chance to catch up with them.
Molly ran circles around us

She loves the beach!

It was a cloudy, stormy sky but I love the shots I got

This is actually an island but the tide was out

This may be one of my favs with the sun starting to peek through

Oh my.....where does the time go!  Ten years ago this scared & tiny little girl was brought into a room full of strangers. She was so confused by the strange faces. Now look at the beautful, confident girl she has grown into. We love you LiLi💖 Love

46 years ago...............................

Today is our anniversary & I  have decided this post will be my version about how we met.......Popster's version would more than likely not be the same but that's how we roll! It was new year's eve 1963....yikes!.......I was a telephone operator in a little town called Huntingdon in England.  It was about 3 miles from Alconbury, an amercan air force base.  All calls went thru our switchboard including ones from the base so consequently we got to know all the GIs.  we would meet them at the Nickel Coin.........pictured here during our coffee..... or should I say tea?....breaks & lunch hours.  Whenever some newbies were transfered in they would be brought to town to meet the local girls. It was not "love at first sight"......I thought he was kinda nerdy & he thought I was a "stuck-up english broad"!  It was a few weeks later when he asked me to go to the movies that I realized he wasn't so "nerdy", so I guess we'll call
