Molly being Molly

We were scheduled last friday to have our sprinkler system lines blown out so it could be shut down for winter.
As always Miss Molly believes that everyone who comes over is strictly there for her entertainment!
She just ran circles around him & kept bringing him toys.  It so funny that when he was bent over checking the controls she was right next to him looking in the hole like she was helping!  Silly dog!
Then he turned on the compressor & this happened.
That was when she decided she would watch from the safety of the sun room!

  1. Doesn't she ever have a "Molly Moment" and bolt out of the garden? You don't have fence.

    1. She has an invisible fence but hardly wears the collar at all any more. She knows & understands the limits & will not cross that "invisible" line. It's so funny as she will stop right before the line in the driveway when we are taking her for a walk & we have to tell her it's okay before she'll cross it. Same way when we get back if we take her off leash & tell her to go home she will only go up the driveway & will not cut thru the yard. Smart dog!

46 years ago...............................

Today is our anniversary & I  have decided this post will be my version about how we met.......Popster's version would more than likely not be the same but that's how we roll! It was new year's eve 1963....yikes!.......I was a telephone operator in a little town called Huntingdon in England.  It was about 3 miles from Alconbury, an amercan air force base.  All calls went thru our switchboard including ones from the base so consequently we got to know all the GIs.  we would meet them at the Nickel Coin.........pictured here during our coffee..... or should I say tea?....breaks & lunch hours.  Whenever some newbies were transfered in they would be brought to town to meet the local girls. It was not "love at first sight"......I thought he was kinda nerdy & he thought I was a "stuck-up english broad"!  It was a few weeks later when he asked me to go to the movies that I realized he wasn't so "nerdy", so I guess we'll call
