Molly Day

It has been 4 years since we met this crazy dog.  It was love at first sight & we had no idea what a wild, crazy ride we would be on.  I still have trouble believing that someone gave up a a puppy like Molly saying that she was un-trainable??  Excuse me but it does take time & patience.....they should see her now.
I have to admit it was not easy but life is not easy....you do what has to be done.  Molly is very smart & very driven which means she loves to work on her training in agility, obedience along with doing fun things like chasing a frisbee.
She doesn't care what we are doing as long as she can go along for the ride.
She can be a little "aloof" at times but it never lasts long.
She likes nothing better that being able to run free to stretch her legs but never lets us out of her sight.
I can do anything to her & get her to pose for a photo shoot...she will sit forever & pose.
She knows how to chill out with the best of them
This is her favorite place to be....waiting to go for a ride
& likes nothing better than the wind in her face.
 Someone once said to me:
"Dogs are just kids with fur on them"

How true that is!
She totally believes she's a lap dog
She has definitely become a very important part of our family.

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.  You are his life, his love, his leader.  He will be yours, faithful & true, to the very last beat of his heart.  You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."  Unknown

  1. A little aloof.....omg, that cracked me up. She is gorgeous, aloofness and all. I didn't read your blog back then and I can't believe someone gave her away because she was untrainable....people are stupid. Like you said it doesn't just happen, you make it happen. You did and added a tonne of love

I love all the Molly stories, happy gotcha day, Molliwog the Golliwog.

    1. That was what she looked like the day we got her! My daughter named her "The Thing"! The second pic was featured in a cartoon drawing by "Draw the Dog"........Molly's claim to fame!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BIG BROTHER

Happy birthday to my big brother Terry...........have a wonderful day!

Yowsa!

I was woken up around 3:30am yesterday by thunder as a line of severe storms were rolling through the area.  My alarm goes off at 4:00am so I figured I'd just get up.  I was standing in the kitchen waiting for the coffee pot when there was a blinding explosion in the back yard along with a huge clap of thunder.  It was like someone threw a bomb in the yard....needless to say it scared the crap out of me & I was waiting for a tree to fall.  We didn't see anything & I left the house at 7:00am while it was still raining.  Popster didn't see this until last night but it had struck this big oak that is about 15 feet from our sun room.  It just stripped that piece of bark right off the tree  Makes the expression "Don't mess with Mother Nature" become very real!
