When I filled the bird feeders a couple day ago one of the suet baskets still had a couple chunks in it. I just put them on the side of the feeder where the birds perch.
This little guy must have spotted it from up in the tree as he came swooping down for it.
I think he thought he had hit the "suet jackpot"!
It is so funny to see fatter versions of birds that we have down here. All your birds are plump, I'm sure it is winter plumage. Ours are all so scrawny but perhaps that's cos they have to wear bikinis 9 months out of the year.
