When life hands you lemons

......make lemonade.  Not!!

I had a hair appointment this morning at 9:30am & had a list of chores to do on the way there, one of which was get gas & put air in my tire(it was on Popster's list but he was ignoring it).

Air thingy jiggy thing was out of order!

Go to the bank, make deposit & get cash for hair appt.  Had a rookie cashier so now I was running late.  Broke all speed limits to get to the hair place only to find the place closed & no one to be found.  The girl who usually does my hair had a baby back in April & the owner has been doing it.  She doesn't normally work Weds so I guess she forgot me!

At that point I decided to go pick up a couple things at Walmart....figured I'd blend right in with my dark roots & un-combed hair!  I should have known better...they did have the soy milk I wanted.  Went over to the bakery as they have these multigrain ciabatta  rolls that I love.  Couldn't find them so I asked at the counter. I was told that" yes they did have them" but couldn't sell them to me!

What!

Why not?  They did not have the nutritional label on them.  I told her I had the label memorized but she wouldn't go for it!

I tried making lemonade but my lemons were all rotten!

  1. Go back to bed and try again tomorrow. Days like that are just not fair.
Since Popster ignored your tire perhaps you should ask HIM to colour your hair. On second thoughts perhaps not.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BIG BROTHER

Happy birthday to my big brother Terry...........have a wonderful day!

Forever Family Day

Oh my.....where does the time go!  Ten years ago this scared & tiny little girl was brought into a room full of strangers. She was so confused by the strange faces. Now look at the beautful, confident girl she has grown into. We love you LiLi💖 Love

Yowsa!

I was woken up around 3:30am yesterday by thunder as a line of severe storms were rolling through the area.  My alarm goes off at 4:00am so I figured I'd just get up.  I was standing in the kitchen waiting for the coffee pot when there was a blinding explosion in the back yard along with a huge clap of thunder.  It was like someone threw a bomb in the yard....needless to say it scared the crap out of me & I was waiting for a tree to fall.  We didn't see anything & I left the house at 7:00am while it was still raining.  Popster didn't see this until last night but it had struck this big oak that is about 15 feet from our sun room.  It just stripped that piece of bark right off the tree  Makes the expression "Don't mess with Mother Nature" become very real!
