Monday this "gentleman" came in the pro shop.....think Grizzly Adams meets Father Time. He was definitely not the stereo-typical golfer. The beard would have made Grizzly envious & he was way older that Father Time!
He got himself a cup of coffee & brought it to the counter.
Him: "How much?"
Me: "That will be $1.25 sir"
I couldn't help but notice he was wearing a golf glove on his left hand & a latex rubber glove on his right. Of course me, being me. thought so you think maybe $1.25 is too much?
After some mumbling & muttering he reached in his pocket & whipped out a visa card saying:
"I'll just so what everyone does & pay for it at the end of the month"
Well alrighty then!

You should have put on the matching latex glove just to touch his visa card!

ReplyDeleteThe coffee is there for the convenience of the golfers for when the restaurant is closed. In today's world people don't carry cash even a dollar for a bottle of water!
