"Why can't you find it?"

As I mentioned in the post about our nightmare trip to Albany Popster's car broke down so Tues morning he made an appointment for it to go to the dealership on Thurs to get fixed....something to do with a "harmonic sensor"??????  It should be covered under the warranty.  He figured he could drive it as long as he didn't run the air conditioning, defrosters & wipers all at the same time.

This morning was Molly's first class for the new session at dog school......it was at 9:00am & with it being the first full day of school he knew he would be late getting home to pick us up.  It was raining buckets & of course he had the defrosters & wipers on & halfway there something popped & the power steering went.  He managed to turn around & we got back home again.  He called for a tow truck & told the guy where to take it but didn't go with him as he had to drive bus again at 2:00.

He called the dealership & they said they would do their best to get it done today & would call him later.  He called there 4 times & no one could tell him what was going on with his car.  He finally asked to speak to the manager & apparently nobody could find his car.....they had been looking for it all afternoon.  They asked him his plate number but hey this is Popster!  Do you think he know what it is????  The guy had put it in the lot with the new cars & not bothered telling anyone it was there!  DUH!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BIG BROTHER

Happy birthday to my big brother Terry...........have a wonderful day!

46 years ago...............................

Today is our anniversary & I  have decided this post will be my version about how we met.......Popster's version would more than likely not be the same but that's how we roll! It was new year's eve 1963....yikes!.......I was a telephone operator in a little town called Huntingdon in England.  It was about 3 miles from Alconbury, an amercan air force base.  All calls went thru our switchboard including ones from the base so consequently we got to know all the GIs.  we would meet them at the Nickel Coin.........pictured here during our coffee..... or should I say tea?....breaks & lunch hours.  Whenever some newbies were transfered in they would be brought to town to meet the local girls. It was not "love at first sight"......I thought he was kinda nerdy & he thought I was a "stuck-up english broad"!  It was a few weeks later when he asked me to go to the movies that I realized he wasn't so "nerdy", so I guess we'll call

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot.  When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow.  Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out.  I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly.  Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes.  It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet.  Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. We had to go to W*lmart in the middle of the project to get velcro to make the fasteners.  We then made her wear them around the house for a while &
