Day 21 Recap

Usually things do not go according to plan with us & seeing today depended on two going according to plan I was sure one or both wouldn't pan out.  The skin for the outside of the cabinet was supposed to be delivered to our kitchen store yesterday & the other piece of crown molding was supposed to be delivered to our house by Fed Ex some time today.  Popster & I left in Jim's truck to pick up the skin & by the time we got home Fed Ex had delivered the other package.

Here's Davey finishing the touch up on the crown.
This is a better picture of the floor.
I managed to get one cabinet finished after they left today....the rest has to wait.

It's looking really good in here but there are still some things to be finished on Monday.  They have to rebuild the wall & shelves that separate the eating area from the living room & do the outside.  We are definitely on the home stretch!

This little guy decided he would use Jim's ladder to get up on the deck.

It didn't go completely smoothly today....poor Jim managed to fall in the driveway between the two trucks.  I'm not sure what hurt more......his arm, his leg or his pride.

I think he was trying to upstage Albert "Stagger"!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BIG BROTHER

Happy birthday to my big brother Terry...........have a wonderful day!

Yowsa!

I was woken up around 3:30am yesterday by thunder as a line of severe storms were rolling through the area.  My alarm goes off at 4:00am so I figured I'd just get up.  I was standing in the kitchen waiting for the coffee pot when there was a blinding explosion in the back yard along with a huge clap of thunder.  It was like someone threw a bomb in the yard....needless to say it scared the crap out of me & I was waiting for a tree to fall.  We didn't see anything & I left the house at 7:00am while it was still raining.  Popster didn't see this until last night but it had struck this big oak that is about 15 feet from our sun room.  It just stripped that piece of bark right off the tree  Makes the expression "Don't mess with Mother Nature" become very real! Forever Family Day

Oh my.....where does the time go!  Ten years ago this scared & tiny little girl was brought into a room full of strangers. She was so confused by the strange faces. Now look at the beautful, confident girl she has grown into. We love you LiLiđź’– Love
