Day 15 Recap

Today started out being another day of doing finishing work on the cabinets.........a lot of the rest of the work depended on the counters being installed & we are waiting on some extra molding that had to be ordered.  Jim figured they would put on knobs & door handles & clean up so that after lunch Davey could grout the floor & no one would be walking on it.  We had resigned ourselves to the counters not coming until next week.  Around 1:15 PM I got a call telling me the counters would be here between 11:00 & 3:00 tomorrow.  So plans were changed & Davey grouted just the stove & refrigerator areas & will now do the rest of the floor tomorrow....assuming they get here closer to 11:00!!

Now I have my stove in temporarily......the outlet behind has to be wired.

Check out the lights....Jim didn't like the way they looked yesterday so he switched them all out for something else.  I think they look much better!
This side of the kitchen doesn't have crown yet....that's what we are waiting for.
Check this out....I'm cooking pasta for Popster dinner!  Do you like my counter Jim put in for me??  What a guy....he thinks of everything!!  Rumor has it I will actually have running water tomorrow!!!

I'm so excited!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BIG BROTHER

Happy birthday to my big brother Terry...........have a wonderful day!

Yowsa!

I was woken up around 3:30am yesterday by thunder as a line of severe storms were rolling through the area.  My alarm goes off at 4:00am so I figured I'd just get up.  I was standing in the kitchen waiting for the coffee pot when there was a blinding explosion in the back yard along with a huge clap of thunder.  It was like someone threw a bomb in the yard....needless to say it scared the crap out of me & I was waiting for a tree to fall.  We didn't see anything & I left the house at 7:00am while it was still raining.  Popster didn't see this until last night but it had struck this big oak that is about 15 feet from our sun room.  It just stripped that piece of bark right off the tree  Makes the expression "Don't mess with Mother Nature" become very real! Forever Family Day

Oh my.....where does the time go!  Ten years ago this scared & tiny little girl was brought into a room full of strangers. She was so confused by the strange faces. Now look at the beautful, confident girl she has grown into. We love you LiLiđź’– Love
