People....you gotta love'm!!!!

I have done pretty well with my "sales" on Cr*ig's list but didn't get too many bites on the sink or faucet.  I took it off for a couple days then re-posted for the amount I wanted for both but reworded the ad to read granite sink with free faucet  Jim's idea).  I got a call from someone yesterday who wanted to come right over & look at it.  He showed up & my "6th sense" kicked into action telling me Snake with a capital S!!!!!  He turned out to be one of those "slumlords" that owned a bunch of apartment buildings.  The sink was still attached to the counter so he started mumbling about how he could break it taking it apart etc, etc & then had the nerve to offer me $40.00!!
My answer was absolutely not.........& after some haggling back & forth we agreed upon $75.00.  At that point Jim walked out of the house & said he could cut it out of the counter for him if he wanted.  I'm shooting the hairy eyeball at Jim mouthing "No way!!!"  Meanwhile Mr Slumlord pulls a huge wad of money from his pocket & counts out $70,00 & then says he only had 4 ones would I settle for that!!  I immediately said give me another $20 I'll go get you change!!

I almost came back out with 4 ones but decided not to stoop to his level!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BIG BROTHER

Happy birthday to my big brother Terry...........have a wonderful day!

46 years ago...............................

Today is our anniversary & I  have decided this post will be my version about how we met.......Popster's version would more than likely not be the same but that's how we roll! It was new year's eve 1963....yikes!.......I was a telephone operator in a little town called Huntingdon in England.  It was about 3 miles from Alconbury, an amercan air force base.  All calls went thru our switchboard including ones from the base so consequently we got to know all the GIs.  we would meet them at the Nickel Coin.........pictured here during our coffee..... or should I say tea?....breaks & lunch hours.  Whenever some newbies were transfered in they would be brought to town to meet the local girls. It was not "love at first sight"......I thought he was kinda nerdy & he thought I was a "stuck-up english broad"!  It was a few weeks later when he asked me to go to the movies that I realized he wasn't so "nerdy", so I guess we'll call

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot.  When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow.  Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out.  I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly.  Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes.  It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet.  Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. We had to go to W*lmart in the middle of the project to get velcro to make the fasteners.  We then made her wear them around the house for a while &
