Walk from Bury

We wanted to take a walk this morning but because it had snowed we knew the Nature walk would be very muddy. Nigel was going to Ramsey so he said he could drop us at Bury & we could walk back from there.......about 2 miles! It was a beautiful day!

We had to be careful when we started off because of the melting snow....we were getting splashed as cars went by!

Look at this beautiful driveway!

The view from the top of the hill.

Someone had carved this fallen tree into a bench.

No one was working....I'm sure all that snow was the problem!!!!

This is the beginning of the High Street

This is called Post Office Row & the end house is where I was born.

My father died when I was two & Terry was three & everyone told my Mother she couldn't possibly raise us alone. She remarried & Greg & Nigel were also born here. They bought the land on Meadow Lane & started a farm when Nigel was still a baby.

The local pub.

We used to take this bus to Peterborough to visit my Grandfather.......we would ride at the top & I always got carsick! Didn't make any difference I'd still do again the next time!

A pathetic attempt at a snowman! They need to see some real snow!

Spring is right around the corner!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BIG BROTHER

Happy birthday to my big brother Terry...........have a wonderful day!

Yowsa!

I was woken up around 3:30am yesterday by thunder as a line of severe storms were rolling through the area.  My alarm goes off at 4:00am so I figured I'd just get up.  I was standing in the kitchen waiting for the coffee pot when there was a blinding explosion in the back yard along with a huge clap of thunder.  It was like someone threw a bomb in the yard....needless to say it scared the crap out of me & I was waiting for a tree to fall.  We didn't see anything & I left the house at 7:00am while it was still raining.  Popster didn't see this until last night but it had struck this big oak that is about 15 feet from our sun room.  It just stripped that piece of bark right off the tree  Makes the expression "Don't mess with Mother Nature" become very real! Forever Family Day

Oh my.....where does the time go!  Ten years ago this scared & tiny little girl was brought into a room full of strangers. She was so confused by the strange faces. Now look at the beautful, confident girl she has grown into. We love you LiLiđź’– Love
