Would you like soap soup with that?

Popster & I just ate lunch in the bathroom! Why you ask?

I decided last year I didn't like the headboard to our waterbed & went out & bought everything I needed to make a new one. Of course like most of my "big projects" it got put on the back burner because I went back to work early. I am just now getting around to do before it ends up on that back burner again.

This, as always, ends up being a bigger project than it starts, as the waterbed has to be drained in order to get the headboard off & to move it. Sounds simple right? WRONG

The last time we drained the bed in order to move it, we were draining into the bathtub & SOMEONE somehow must have tripped over the hose!!!! Of course it went undetected until I went down to the laundry room & received an unexpected shower coming out of the heat duct in the ceiling. After using a few words that I cannot type here I flew back upstairs to discover about 4 inches of water on the bathroom floor!!!

Now you understand why we are eating lunch in the bathroom!

to be continued..............

Today we have a riddle???

What do you get when you cross a pile of scraps, a sewing machine, a woman possessed, & a husband on a week long golf trip?  The following.........  This is a tablecloth for my kitchen table....forgot to take the finished pic  Cover for my sewing machine...very proud of this as I quilted the whole thing.  This is the back....got tired of doing squares!  Matching cover for my serger.  I meant to post these a while ago & must have forgot.  I have done a couple other projects since then which I will get around to posting soon.  Had computer problems so I have some catching up to do Love

Sewing, weaving & emptying the waterbed

Monday morning began bright & early as we needed to finish emptying our bedroom.  Mark was dropping LiLi off before 8:00am as she does not have school this week.  We needed to drain the waterbed before we could take it apart.  As usual we were having no luck getting the water to siphon out & even resorted to having LiLi (all 35lbs of her) sitting on it with us!!  It probably took over an hour & who knows how many tries before it worked.  Got the mattress out & discovered the decking was falling apart.....good thing we decided to do this project,,,,I was able to find a local place so we can just replace it & to be safe I also got a new safety liner & heater.  I don't want to be doing this again for a while!  While Popster worked on replacing the baseboard & window trim in those two rooms LiLi & I started working on this doll kit she had gotten for her birthday.  All the pieces needed to be sewn togeth...

C of O ....Sun Room...Day Twenty Three-Twenty Five

This came in the mail today which made me realize I never posted the last couple days updates.  They really all rolled into one as Jim ended up leaving at noon on Weds...it started to snow & didn't work at all on Thurs.  Friday he finished things up by lunch time but had to spend the afternoon emptying my garage of all his tools.  We had our inspection on Monday which wasn't a problem.  It has been so sunny this week so far so it is so nice to sit in there & enjoy the view!  Yes Molly hangs out in her a lot.....I have nose prints to prove she looks out of all the windows!
