Miss Molly at the park

Miss Molly's favorite place to go is Jenkin's park............it's just a small local about 2 1/2 miles from our house. The baseball field in the back isn't used very much & because it is fenced is a great place to take Molly so she can run free.

As you can see she takes right off!

We always keep calling her so she gets used to coming when we need her to.

I love this one ....with her ears flapping!

Here she is trying to hide in the clover with the ball!

  1. That really is an unused baseball field. Why doesn't it get used? It seems a waste. Nice for you and Molly though.

  2. I guess it does get used at times but not on a regular basis. We are lucky
in our little "neck of the woods" to have several really nice parks & baseball/softball fields! I think this is used by fun adult leagues.

  3. What a great place for Molly!

The picture of her running toward you, with the handkerchief flying off both sides of her neck had me grimacing - it looked like she was carrying a dead animal in her mouth! I was so glad it was just the handkerchief!

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot.  When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow.  Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out.  I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly.  Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes.  It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet.  Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. We had to go to W*lmart in the middle of the project to get velcro to make the fasteners.  We then made her wear them around the house for a while ...

Sewing, weaving & emptying the waterbed

Monday morning began bright & early as we needed to finish emptying our bedroom.  Mark was dropping LiLi off before 8:00am as she does not have school this week.  We needed to drain the waterbed before we could take it apart.  As usual we were having no luck getting the water to siphon out & even resorted to having LiLi (all 35lbs of her) sitting on it with us!!  It probably took over an hour & who knows how many tries before it worked.  Got the mattress out & discovered the decking was falling apart.....good thing we decided to do this project,,,,I was able to find a local place so we can just replace it & to be safe I also got a new safety liner & heater.  I don't want to be doing this again for a while!  While Popster worked on replacing the baseboard & window trim in those two rooms LiLi & I started working on this doll kit she had gotten for her birthday.  All the pieces needed to be sewn togeth...

Today we have a riddle???

What do you get when you cross a pile of scraps, a sewing machine, a woman possessed, & a husband on a week long golf trip?  The following.........  This is a tablecloth for my kitchen table....forgot to take the finished pic  Cover for my sewing machine...very proud of this as I quilted the whole thing.  This is the back....got tired of doing squares!  Matching cover for my serger.  I meant to post these a while ago & must have forgot.  I have done a couple other projects since then which I will get around to posting soon.  Had computer problems so I have some catching up to do Love
