What do I do with my time???????

I suddenly realized yesterday that we were already halfway thru January & my "list" is not getting any smaller. As it gets towards the end of the golf season people start asking me what I do all winter & my reply is always catch up with things on the "list". They always also say"don't you get bored?" So now I'm sitting here wondering what have I done with my time & am I bored?
  • Part one - I don't know! (but Sophia will be the best dressed baby around!)
  • Part two - NO!!! (repeat above statement)

We had someone come to give us an estimate on putting a new shower in our laundry/bathroom, replace our inefficient electric hot water heater with a gas one, also run a gas line to the kitchen so we replace the stove with a gas one, and to replace the kitchen sink & faucet.
  • Have I gone out to look at sinks & faucets? No!
  • Have I gone out to pick out a stove & dishwasher(which is also being replaced) No!
  • Have I gone out to look at shower doors? No!
  • Have I started working on the laundry room? Yes! (I cheated by pulling off a little piece of wallpaper so I could answer yes to something)
  • Have I done anything on the list? A little!
It's a long winter..............I'll get there!

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot.  When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow.  Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out.  I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly.  Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes.  It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet.  Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. We had to go to W*lmart in the middle of the project to get velcro to make the fasteners.  We then made her wear them around the house for a while ...

Sewing, weaving & emptying the waterbed

Monday morning began bright & early as we needed to finish emptying our bedroom.  Mark was dropping LiLi off before 8:00am as she does not have school this week.  We needed to drain the waterbed before we could take it apart.  As usual we were having no luck getting the water to siphon out & even resorted to having LiLi (all 35lbs of her) sitting on it with us!!  It probably took over an hour & who knows how many tries before it worked.  Got the mattress out & discovered the decking was falling apart.....good thing we decided to do this project,,,,I was able to find a local place so we can just replace it & to be safe I also got a new safety liner & heater.  I don't want to be doing this again for a while!  While Popster worked on replacing the baseboard & window trim in those two rooms LiLi & I started working on this doll kit she had gotten for her birthday.  All the pieces needed to be sewn togeth...

Today we have a riddle???

What do you get when you cross a pile of scraps, a sewing machine, a woman possessed, & a husband on a week long golf trip?  The following.........  This is a tablecloth for my kitchen table....forgot to take the finished pic  Cover for my sewing machine...very proud of this as I quilted the whole thing.  This is the back....got tired of doing squares!  Matching cover for my serger.  I meant to post these a while ago & must have forgot.  I have done a couple other projects since then which I will get around to posting soon.  Had computer problems so I have some catching up to do Love
