Life from where we are

For LiLi's birthday this year I gave her a choice of a gift or going on a trip somewhere.  We went to New York city for the day on the train & Jessie came along with us We left at 7:15am & Josh & JoAnne were meeting us at Penn station.  Josh was in charge of what we were going to do for the day She was just a little excited! We found JoAnne right away but had to wait a few minutes for Josh to get there We got on the subway & headed for the museum of  Natural History It is unbelievably big & had so much to see.  You would need to spend way more than one  day here to do it it justice. Last Sunday we drove to the city just for the day to celebrate Joshua's birthday.  It was originally going to be an overnight trip with us going on saturday but JoAnne & Peter had a fundraiser to go to.   We left at 6:00am in this weather & it rained the entire day! We got there apartment around 9:15 & had to drive into the city in two cars as they had bought Josh a tv which took up the back seat of Peter's car.  Popster rode with Peter while I took my life in my hands & rode with JoAnne😨 The girl should be a NYC cab driver.....she could compete with the best😱 Thankfully, it being sunday the traffic wasn't that bad!  We were going out to dinner with Scott & Deidre so met at their house so we could see how in was coming along  This was the weekend they had the flood watch because of the ice jams on the river  The pics aren't very good as Popster didn't slow down for me!  The silly chickens were still outside even though it was almost dark  I love the fireplace.  It's an energy efficient wood burning & the house was so warm  There will be built-ins around the windows  Look at the windows all around the front door It was too mucky for me to  to get any further back plus it was really getting dark then Love Val💖
