City meets country living

A couple weekends ago Josh & Carol came to visit.  They got here early Saturday morning & of course, it being Saturday, it was raining.  Seems to happen a lot around here this spring.  We didn't want to waste the entire day inside so we decide to go the Saratoga.
We had umbrellas & wandered around ending up at the Farmer's market.  By then it was starting to rain harder so we ended up leaving.

Sunday morning was still a little rainy & we took a ride over to Scott's house.  It's starting to look good inside.  All the hardwood floors are in & one bathroom is finished & usable.  The kitchen cabinets will be installed this week & he's starting all the tile floors.  At this point Scott is doing a lot of the work himself so it will take a while.
I love the view they have
 The chickens have grown up

We ended up going to get a very late breakfast at this quaint diner they had discovered a couple miles from their house.
They have been going there a lot so the waitress was really giving Scott the needle.....he makes friends with the best people!😉

This the counter which faces directly into the kitchen
There was a chicken theme going on & they were everywhere.  I don't have to tell you, but the food was absolutely delicious😊
We went home & picked up Jess & the dogs so we could show them a "real" dog park not like those concrete jungles they have in the city
I think they were considering trying to push it over ??

 Love these two💖

Today we have a riddle???

What do you get when you cross a pile of scraps, a sewing machine, a woman possessed, & a husband on a week long golf trip?  The following.........  This is a tablecloth for my kitchen table....forgot to take the finished pic  Cover for my sewing machine...very proud of this as I quilted the whole thing.  This is the back....got tired of doing squares!  Matching cover for my serger.  I meant to post these a while ago & must have forgot.  I have done a couple other projects since then which I will get around to posting soon.  Had computer problems so I have some catching up to do Love

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot.  When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow.  Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out.  I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly.  Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes.  It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet.  Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. We had to go to W*lmart in the middle of the project to get velcro to make the fasteners.  We then made her wear them around the house for a while ...

Molly bike riding????

Popster has been teaching Molly to run along side of his bike.  It has been a slow process but she's finally getting it.  They start off very slowly.......  then speed up a little......  which is when she gets crazy& decides to "carry" the leash......  gradually she feels more comfortable....  then she begins to gallop.... & the ears start to flap!!!!!
