August Birthday Celebrations

We began with a double celebration for Mark & Scott's birthdays as they are 10 days apart

Dani found these t-shirts on the web & thought them perfect for Scott & Deidre for their present living situation!
LiLi had made a birthday card for Uncle Scott
This kid always designs something appropriate
She was little "Suzie Homemaker" that day serving drinks & food.  Here she is fixing the birthday cake
She had color coded the candles that they each had to blow out

A week later we headed up into the hills to do the birthday thing again.  Seeing Scott's was that "special" number Deidre decided to have a last minute party for him with her family
In the background is the ground clearing for the new house

There were dogs everywhere.....8 in total

The chickens have grown & were enjoying some outside time

 Again we had birthday cake

Mark & Scott both got the same present from us......a replica of an London rail station clock

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot.  When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow.  Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out.  I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly.  Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes.  It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet.  Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. We had to go to W*lmart in the middle of the project to get velcro to make the fasteners.  We then made her wear them around the house for a while ...

Molly bike riding????

Popster has been teaching Molly to run along side of his bike.  It has been a slow process but she's finally getting it.  They start off very slowly.......  then speed up a little......  which is when she gets crazy& decides to "carry" the leash......  gradually she feels more comfortable....  then she begins to gallop.... & the ears start to flap!!!!!

Today we have a riddle???

What do you get when you cross a pile of scraps, a sewing machine, a woman possessed, & a husband on a week long golf trip?  The following.........  This is a tablecloth for my kitchen table....forgot to take the finished pic  Cover for my sewing machine...very proud of this as I quilted the whole thing.  This is the back....got tired of doing squares!  Matching cover for my serger.  I meant to post these a while ago & must have forgot.  I have done a couple other projects since then which I will get around to posting soon.  Had computer problems so I have some catching up to do Love
