100 Acre Wood

While on a different hike one day we met some people who told us about this place
Luther Forest is a new technology park off of Rte 9 that was built to accommodate the new chip factory.
They had an agreement with the town to build walking trails around the park
This one goes through the middle of the woods
There were several of these beautiful granite benches
The trails all interconnect but we just kept a fairly straight course so we didn't get lost
This was a really neat elaborate stairway to cross a big gully
Molly didn't exactly stay on it
She kept jumping on & off & elected not to climb the stairs on the other side

She always comes back looking for me if I get too far behind

This is where we decided to turn around but maybe next time we'll go to the end

  1. I really ought to make a Winnie the Pooh joke but it's early and I cannot think of one. Darn it. What a beautiful place, as always! I love that Molly never lets you trail far behind, so caring.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BIG BROTHER

Happy birthday to my big brother Terry...........have a wonderful day!

Molly bike riding????

Popster has been teaching Molly to run along side of his bike.  It has been a slow process but she's finally getting it.  They start off very slowly.......  then speed up a little......  which is when she gets crazy& decides to "carry" the leash......  gradually she feels more comfortable....  then she begins to gallop.... & the ears start to flap!!!!!

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot.  When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow.  Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out.  I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly.  Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes.  It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet.  Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. We had to go to W*lmart in the middle of the project to get velcro to make the fasteners.  We then made her wear them around the house for a while &
