A few years of dreaming.......

 ......is now all mine!
I have had this idea in my head for a few years now & after having a corner downstairs for my sewing machine & then another corner in this bedroom upstairs & then 2 corners of this room I finally claimed the whole room for me.
The daybed is now downstairs which gave me room to make my craft/sewing table bigger.  It was a quick fix making a new top.  Popster cut down one of the old closet doors I had to sweet talk a guy in L*wes to cut a piece of laminate the right size for the top.  I just had to paint the edges white.
See how pretty the floor is now.

The bulletin board is now my brain so I can put all the things I "dream up"  on it & hopefully unclutter my  head.....that will never happen but it's worth a try.  The curtain rod was something I found on pinterest.
I an loving my new space which I waited for for so long.  Only problem I'm on the short end of my winter hiatus so don't have long to enjoy it!

    1. The big bolt (which I may add I bought several years ago) is going to become new valances for the living room! The other machine is a serger which does a great job on finishing seams as well as a slew of other things I haven't learned yet. Did you notice LiLi's sewing machine tucked underneath?

  2. I did now. I think LiLi's is the same as mine. No really! Serger, that's it, they are clever pieces of kit...not that I would know.

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot.  When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow.  Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out.  I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly.  Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes.  It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet.  Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. We had to go to W*lmart in the middle of the project to get velcro to make the fasteners.  We then made her wear them around the house for a while ...

Molly bike riding????

Popster has been teaching Molly to run along side of his bike.  It has been a slow process but she's finally getting it.  They start off very slowly.......  then speed up a little......  which is when she gets crazy& decides to "carry" the leash......  gradually she feels more comfortable....  then she begins to gallop.... & the ears start to flap!!!!!

Today we have a riddle???

What do you get when you cross a pile of scraps, a sewing machine, a woman possessed, & a husband on a week long golf trip?  The following.........  This is a tablecloth for my kitchen table....forgot to take the finished pic  Cover for my sewing machine...very proud of this as I quilted the whole thing.  This is the back....got tired of doing squares!  Matching cover for my serger.  I meant to post these a while ago & must have forgot.  I have done a couple other projects since then which I will get around to posting soon.  Had computer problems so I have some catching up to do Love
