Side trip to Vermont

Sunday we decided it was time to "get out of Dodge" & were planning to head north but it was raining & that was the direction the weather was heading.
So we headed east toward Vermont.  This is a crazy tourist trap on the way there.

We ended up here....get it?  Molly Stark!
It was the most beautiful state park for camping that had the cleanest rest rooms & showers I have ever seen.
It had several hiking trails but we picked this one.  Why?  Firetower!
It started off very easy but....
.....we were soon climbing.
I wanted this rock.
It was rather large.
Of course when we got to the firetower Popster elected to stay with Molly
His excuse....I was the one with the camera!
He really is a "chicken"!
Very disappointing views because of the clouds!

I wonder who lived here?

I did "collect" a few smaller rocks on the way down for my new piece of driftwood.

I wanted to walk around Wilmington on the way home.....it is such a quaint little town with lots of art & craft shops. By the time we got back to the car it was raining so we ended up just driving home. Love

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot.  When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow.  Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out.  I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly.  Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes.  It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet.  Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. We had to go to W*lmart in the middle of the project to get velcro to make the fasteners.  We then made her wear them around the house for a while ...

Molly bike riding????

Popster has been teaching Molly to run along side of his bike.  It has been a slow process but she's finally getting it.  They start off very slowly.......  then speed up a little......  which is when she gets crazy& decides to "carry" the leash......  gradually she feels more comfortable....  then she begins to gallop.... & the ears start to flap!!!!!

Today we have a riddle???

What do you get when you cross a pile of scraps, a sewing machine, a woman possessed, & a husband on a week long golf trip?  The following.........  This is a tablecloth for my kitchen table....forgot to take the finished pic  Cover for my sewing machine...very proud of this as I quilted the whole thing.  This is the back....got tired of doing squares!  Matching cover for my serger.  I meant to post these a while ago & must have forgot.  I have done a couple other projects since then which I will get around to posting soon.  Had computer problems so I have some catching up to do Love
