"War has been declared"

Actually there are two battles being waged today....the interior one against the "dust woobers" & the exterior one against the icicle that are taking over all the eaves of our house

I got up this morning resigning myself to the fact that we will be living like this another week or more!!! I was told yesterday the counter tops will take anywhere from 7-10 days......I'm hoping closer to 7 but who knows!! I cleaned & dusted every single room in the house & I'm sure it will be just as dusty tomorrow but for now I can relax & breathe again!!!

This is what our eaves look like because of the continuous snow we had going on last week.  It created the problem in the kitchen which got "band-aided" until spring, but then yesterday realized the front was creating a problem.  The ice on the edge of the roof was about 5-6 inches thick so when it melts the water finds a different way out.  It was getting behind the siding in the front of the house that overhangs....not good!!!  Popster is outside trying to get it off the roof.....he is on his 3rd bag of "magic salt" & is finally making some progress.  The joys of winter!!!!
I looked outside & saw that he had all the snow of the deck.  When I asked him what he was doing, he just pointed at the grill & said "Burgers"  Do you think he's tired of microwave food????

Here's where we had coffee when we took a break from all our hard work!

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot.  When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow.  Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out.  I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly.  Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes.  It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet.  Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. We had to go to W*lmart in the middle of the project to get velcro to make the fasteners.  We then made her wear them around the house for a while ...

Molly bike riding????

Popster has been teaching Molly to run along side of his bike.  It has been a slow process but she's finally getting it.  They start off very slowly.......  then speed up a little......  which is when she gets crazy& decides to "carry" the leash......  gradually she feels more comfortable....  then she begins to gallop.... & the ears start to flap!!!!!

Today we have a riddle???

What do you get when you cross a pile of scraps, a sewing machine, a woman possessed, & a husband on a week long golf trip?  The following.........  This is a tablecloth for my kitchen table....forgot to take the finished pic  Cover for my sewing machine...very proud of this as I quilted the whole thing.  This is the back....got tired of doing squares!  Matching cover for my serger.  I meant to post these a while ago & must have forgot.  I have done a couple other projects since then which I will get around to posting soon.  Had computer problems so I have some catching up to do Love
