Walking & Bike path along the Charles River

These pics are from last weekend when we went to visit JoAnne......she lives in Waltham which is about 10 miles from Boston. The Charles river is approx a 5 minute walk from her apartment.

After we crossed over the bridge the path continued on the other side past these buildings.
Guess who is walking on the wrong side of the blue line!
This factory was built in the 1800's & consists of over 400,000 sq feet in 22 buildings.
The first ones were kinda dilapidated but as we went along there were new windows & had obviously been up-dated.  Parts of it have been done into offices & there will eventually even be loft style apartments. What a great place to live with that view!

We saw this little guy on a fishing pier!
This is what he was watching & probably wishing he could swim!

I was trying to get pictures of the gulls flying around.

  1. Great great pictures! That view is definitely sweet! When you say 5 miles from Chicago, do you mean the heart of Chicago?
    Keep the great pics coming!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BIG BROTHER

Happy birthday to my big brother Terry...........have a wonderful day!

Sun Room.....Day Ten (up-date)

Today was spent finishing up the outside & waiting for everything to happen. They waiting for the building inspector to check the sonar tubes for the porch & steps, the electrical inspector, & for the delivery of the insulation & the knotty pine for the interior. Of course everyone showed up at once. Molly decided they were all there to entertain her! How many guys does it take to unload a truck?  Especially when that truck has the wrong stuff on it!  Yup, you heard that right....they brought the wrong pine.  Jim was livid as he had special ordered it.  Supposedly the right order will be here first thing Monday!  We'll see. This is a sonar tube filled with concrete.

Molly bike riding????

Popster has been teaching Molly to run along side of his bike.  It has been a slow process but she's finally getting it.  They start off very slowly.......  then speed up a little......  which is when she gets crazy& decides to "carry" the leash......  gradually she feels more comfortable....  then she begins to gallop.... & the ears start to flap!!!!!
