Agility Class

Molly finished her last week of agility Thurs night. She was "class clown" for the first session & moved up to star of the class for the second session. As shown by these pics Popster works with her everyday at home & she just loves doing it! (please excuse the quality of the pics...it's in our backyard which doesn't get much sun & I was trying to get action shots). She did really well the last night except for the see-saw which they had added. She seemed to do okay the week before but didn't get a lot of time trying it as one of the other dogs had a lot of trouble with it. This week she got very nervous in the middle & kept jumping off......I know she'll get it! Maybe I should look for one on e-bay because as soon as we bought the tunnel.....no more problems with it!

I love this picture of her coming out of the tunnel!
We have decided to sign her up at the Schenectady Dog Training Club where there do certified agility training just to see how she will do.

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot.  When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow.  Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out.  I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly.  Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes.  It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet.  Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. We had to go to W*lmart in the middle of the project to get velcro to make the fasteners.  We then made her wear them around the house for a while ...

Molly bike riding????

Popster has been teaching Molly to run along side of his bike.  It has been a slow process but she's finally getting it.  They start off very slowly.......  then speed up a little......  which is when she gets crazy& decides to "carry" the leash......  gradually she feels more comfortable....  then she begins to gallop.... & the ears start to flap!!!!!

Today we have a riddle???

What do you get when you cross a pile of scraps, a sewing machine, a woman possessed, & a husband on a week long golf trip?  The following.........  This is a tablecloth for my kitchen table....forgot to take the finished pic  Cover for my sewing machine...very proud of this as I quilted the whole thing.  This is the back....got tired of doing squares!  Matching cover for my serger.  I meant to post these a while ago & must have forgot.  I have done a couple other projects since then which I will get around to posting soon.  Had computer problems so I have some catching up to do Love
