"Locked out & Freezing"!

I was able to turn off the alarm & sleep in this morning as I didn't have to work..........nice feeling.........however my body is tuned into getting up early so I was up by 5:30 am! Liza is used to us going for a walk around 6:15 am so I threw my sweat pants over my "jammies" & off we went. (I could here my mother's voice in my head saying "always wear clean underwear when you go out in case you have an accident") - my gawd I wasn't even wearing any!!!! It was about 23 deg. with a wind chill! The lock set on the garage door is loose & NEEDS TO BE REPLACED so sometimes it locks itself. Guess what.......when I got home I was LOCKED out! It was 7:00 am so the Popster was driving & doesn't answer his phone so I had to call Scott to go find him & get the garage door opener for me. Here I was sitting on a flower pot in the shed, hugging Liza to keep her warm for 45 mins!!!!!! My butt still hasn't thawed out!!!

PS I guess I'm going to buy one of these!

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot. When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow. Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out. I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly. Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes. It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet. Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. We had to go to W*lmart in the middle of the project to get velcro to make the fasteners. We then made her wear them around the house for a while ...

Molly bike riding????

Popster has been teaching Molly to run along side of his bike. It has been a slow process but she's finally getting it. They start off very slowly....... then speed up a little...... which is when she gets crazy& decides to "carry" the leash...... gradually she feels more comfortable.... then she begins to gallop.... & the ears start to flap!!!!!

What do you get when you cross a pile of scraps, a sewing machine, a woman possessed, & a husband on a week long golf trip? The following......... This is a tablecloth for my kitchen table....forgot to take the finished pic Cover for my sewing machine...very proud of this as I quilted the whole thing. This is the back....got tired of doing squares! Matching cover for my serger. I meant to post these a while ago & must have forgot. I have done a couple other projects since then which I will get around to posting soon. Had computer problems so I have some catching up to do Love
