12 DAYS & COUNTING...............

It doesn't seem possible that after all that time of waiting that things could start to happen so quickly! Mark & Dani got their consulate approval Thurs & by Fri the travel agency had been in touch & our flights are booked. We will be leaving Newark at 3:00 pm on Thurs March 13th & will arrive in Hong Kong on Fri March 14th at 6:55 pm(12 hour time difference). The flight is 15.55 hours - yikes! I don't care I found out I can take my knitting needles so Sophia should be good for a couple more sweaters! We will spend Sat on a guided tour of Hong Kong & leave for Nanning on Sunday March 16th. "Gotcha" day on Monday????? Will be finding that out on this Monday........we hope. Say tuned for updates!

PS For those of you keeping track. My sink & faucet have been installed along with the new shower. The dishwasher was installed last weekend & the new stove came yesterday. The wallpaper has all been stripped off & the walls are sporting a sparkling new coat of paint. My part is all done...........the rest is the Popster job. Amazing how much one can accomplish when there's a deadline ahead!!!!

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot.  When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow.  Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out.  I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly.  Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes.  It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet.  Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. We had to go to W*lmart in the middle of the project to get velcro to make the fasteners.  We then made her wear them around the house for a while ...

Molly bike riding????

Popster has been teaching Molly to run along side of his bike.  It has been a slow process but she's finally getting it.  They start off very slowly.......  then speed up a little......  which is when she gets crazy& decides to "carry" the leash......  gradually she feels more comfortable....  then she begins to gallop.... & the ears start to flap!!!!!

Today we have a riddle???

What do you get when you cross a pile of scraps, a sewing machine, a woman possessed, & a husband on a week long golf trip?  The following.........  This is a tablecloth for my kitchen table....forgot to take the finished pic  Cover for my sewing machine...very proud of this as I quilted the whole thing.  This is the back....got tired of doing squares!  Matching cover for my serger.  I meant to post these a while ago & must have forgot.  I have done a couple other projects since then which I will get around to posting soon.  Had computer problems so I have some catching up to do Love
