Saturday Night Dinner Adventures

There is just something about us & dinner on Sat night always being some type of adventure, but this past one takes the "prize"! I had a yen for a turkey burger so we decided to go to Ruby Tuesdays. Of course we go pick up Mark & Dani & after they (I'm always the DD) polished off 2 bottles of wine we go over to the restaurant. It was extremely crowded so sat at the bar - another bottle of wine - & eventually were seated at a table in the bar. Probably about 5-10 mins after our meal was served the fire alarm went off! Now picture average age of the employees was about 23 so they all giggled nervously, shrugged their shoulders & went about their business. The second time it went off I was getting very nervous & one lady asked, very sarcastically, "are you going wait until the place burns down before you tell us to leave?" Again just nervous giggles. Then we hear sirens & in walks 4 fireman in complete rescue gear. They did some checking & said the building had to be evacuated. Now not to mention any names but certain people in our party are known for inhaling their food so it didn't matter to them if they had to leave, where I had barely taken 2 bites of mine. We ended up in the parking lot but my sweet daughter-in-law wrapped up half my burger so I did get some of it. The town of CP has a volunteer Fire Dept & they had every piece of equipment in the parking lot in no time flat. The hook & ladder had 2 men in the bucket checking out the roof but we couldn't see why. After standing around in the cold we decided enough was enough & left them to it! I am not making any suggestions for next week!

Designer "doggy uggs"

Poor Molly has been having a hard time already this winter with the snow. She has good size pads on her feet which are "webbed" like a lab's foot.  When she goes in the snow it builds up in between her pads & forms a hard piece of almost ice-like snow.  Then she holds her foot up for someone to pull it out.  I decided to make her her own boots. Jessica had spent the night here as we went to First night for new years....more on that later.....so we "googled" how to make dog boots & then modified it to work for Molly.  Keep in mind these were boots you could make in 10 minutes.  It took approx 10 mins to measure Molly's feet.  Two hours later here's the results I did decide to make her 2 for each foot figuring she would be like any typical kid & lose a couple here & there. We had to go to W*lmart in the middle of the project to get velcro to make the fasteners.  We then made her wear them around the house for a while ...

Molly bike riding????

Popster has been teaching Molly to run along side of his bike.  It has been a slow process but she's finally getting it.  They start off very slowly.......  then speed up a little......  which is when she gets crazy& decides to "carry" the leash......  gradually she feels more comfortable....  then she begins to gallop.... & the ears start to flap!!!!!

Today we have a riddle???

What do you get when you cross a pile of scraps, a sewing machine, a woman possessed, & a husband on a week long golf trip?  The following.........  This is a tablecloth for my kitchen table....forgot to take the finished pic  Cover for my sewing machine...very proud of this as I quilted the whole thing.  This is the back....got tired of doing squares!  Matching cover for my serger.  I meant to post these a while ago & must have forgot.  I have done a couple other projects since then which I will get around to posting soon.  Had computer problems so I have some catching up to do Love
