Life from where we are

 I forgot to post these pics from Molly's birthday which was Jan 5th......I know I'm getting very lax!  We started off being pretty good  She does anything I ask in the beginning  Then boredom sets in  So I get this  & the "glare"  & the tongue  This really cracks me up!  Okay Miss Molly I'll quit now! I mentioned before how I am totally hooked on watching Breaking Bad  which actually is  a whole other story.  Anyhow I was watching it Tues afternoon & during a dialog between two of the characters one of them said " Actually I was stationed in Upwood" I was like you're kidding & hit rewind to make sure I heard it right!  For anyone who doesn't know....which include 99.9 percent of the population......Upwood is a ittle-bitty village in England that if you blink while driving thru it you would miss it.   However it is where I grew up.  RAF Upwood is just outside the village which is where they were referring to!  Small world! That evening while I was watching Downton Abbey Edith, while making her excuse for being late for dinner, said  " The train was held up in Peterborough "   Peterborough is where my mother was born & grew up.  Also where I was born & where our grandfather livedso we spent a lot of tim...

 My feeders are attracting lots of visitors this winter Love

 Upstate New York is one of the most beautiful places to live .......except this winter!  Check out the "real feel" & I do believe they are underestimating that!  Remind me again why we live here!  These pics were taken Sat....I think....& I was not outside at the time, but in the sun room.  We had ridiculously low temps & then snow along with it.   Also extreme winds which blew the snow everywhere.  If we can get out to walk it takes a good ten minutes to get dressed with enough layers, boots, yaktrax (because it's usually slippery),gloves, mittens, hand warmers, as well as boots for Molly. Remind me again why we live here! Love

We did the usual Saratoga First Night for new yers Our entourage had an extra person this year....Jessie's boyfriend Tyler LiLi is so excited to be riding on a bus......it was soooooo cold we rode instead of walking. Our first stop was juggler's act that kept her entertained. We then went up the street to see the Mop & Bucket Co.  They are an improv group & are so very talented.......lots of fun! We checked a few more acts & then made our way down Broadway for kettle corn........tragedy......no kettle corn!!!  This is the first new years without it!  Only thing we could figure is the weather?? We did find the alpacas.......even they were laying huddled next to each other. This a couple shots I tried of christmas lights Mark left just before 10 so we went back up to the city center to see Hey Jude ......a Beatles band who were very good.  Music that Popster & I knew every word to!!! Can you tell how cold it was waiting...

It's been a complete shambles around here for the last week or so......give or take a few days!  Popster is on vacay & will be until Monday,   We've had marathon tv watching thanks to "prime time on demand". Then last week decided to watch all the back episodes of Breaking Bad. We are hooked! I will catch up real soon. Love

LiLi & I made ornaments out of christmas cards Give this kid a pair of scissors & she is in heaven  We also played several games of Uno  She is reading a Treasury of Fairy Tales that belongs to Jessie.  I was going to read something for her but she wanted to " read inside her head" !  Alrighty then! Love
