Getting used to our new normal

We've had some changes in our life around here & Jessica has moved back in with us for a while. Of course Keek(little kitty) & Luna came along for the ride so we are all adjusting to our new normal.  She is now working in an emergency animal hospital which is open 24 hours so all the shifts are 12 hours & can be anywhere from 2pm - 2am, 6pm - 6am, 8pm - 8am or reversed.  Her normal week is 3 days but she has been also picking up extra shifts.  We're figuring it all out as we go & manage to have dinner together a few days a week.
This pic cracks me up!
Molly went from being the "spoiled only dog" to having to share everything, including her bed with Luna.  Luna is a brat at times & steals Molly's toys, runs by her squeaking them & jumps on the couch.  She then sits there as if to say "Nerner, nerner you're not allowed up here😛"  She really has fun with that game as she can go from the sun room to the living room & back.  She has also been known to open the cupboard where the garbage can & recycling bins are & spread those around but we won't talk about that!
This was halloween & we put a gate in front of the door to keep Luna in
No worries about that .....she decided to watch safely from the couch!
She will chase anything on four legs so we have to keep her tied outside & she always get tangled somewhere.  I will find her sitting like this, patiently waiting for somone to rescue her
Molly is learning to share the back seat with her.
"Mom she's breathing on me!"
Most mornings we take them to Jenkins & let them run off some energy in the ball field.  Molly is barking in frustration as she can't quite catch her.
This happen several times a day in spite of all the exercise they get...not bad in the kitchen but when they are sharing the bathroom with you.......😲

It's a nice kinda new normal & one that we're both enjoying.

Love Val

46 years ago...............................

Today is our anniversary & I  have decided this post will be my version about how we met.......Popster's version would more than likely not be the same but that's how we roll! It was new year's eve 1963....yikes!.......I was a telephone operator in a little town called Huntingdon in England.  It was about 3 miles from Alconbury, an amercan air force base.  All calls went thru our switchboard including ones from the base so consequently we got to know all the GIs.  we would meet them at the Nickel Coin.........pictured here during our coffee..... or should I say tea?....breaks & lunch hours.  Whenever some newbies were transfered in they would be brought to town to meet the local girls. It was not "love at first sight"......I thought he was kinda nerdy & he thought I was a "stuck-up english broad"!  It was a few weeks later when he asked me to go to the movies that I realized he wasn't so "nerdy", so I guess we'll call
