"Does it bite?" or "Doggie spring fever"

I was at work yesterday afternoon when my cell phone rang.  I was busy so ignored it but then decided I better check my voice mail I heard the following message
" Hi (bark).  This is Ed (bark, bark) from UPS & I'm(bark, bark) trying to deliver a package(bark, bark, bark)  There's this big black  (bark) dog & I don't know if it's safe(bark, bark bark) to get out of my truck.  Please call me"
I look at the clock..it's 3:00pm so Popster should be at work.  I call Ed back & he tells me the big black dog is in my driveway!!!  I tell him to take the package to my neighbor's house.  I then call my neighbor & ask her if Molly is outside & also is Popster's car in the driveway.  She tells me no car & Molly had been barking at the UPS truck.  I asked if she would please go over & put Molly in the house thinking Popster must have left  for work forgetting she was outside.  We have an invisible dog fence so Molly can be outside alone but we would never leave her out if no one was home.  I left a message on Popster's cell telling him what happened.  When he came home from work he walked around back & found the french door wide open & Molly came bounding up from the back of the yard.  It turns out he hadn't locked it & she figured out how to open it!  When Ellen put her back in the house she had closed it but didn't know how to lock it so Molly just went back out again!!

When I got home from work we had the following conversation:

"Molly you are only two & you are not allowed to play outside when no one is home!  Understand? Oh & you must remember the brown tuck with UPS on it & the white truck that says FedEx are Mommy's friends, very good friends so please don't scare them anymore!"

This is her last night sleeping with one paw over her ear as if to say "turn the d*mn tv down I'm trying to sleep!"  She was exhausted from her afternoon adventure!

Forever Family Day

Oh my.....where does the time go!  Ten years ago this scared & tiny little girl was brought into a room full of strangers. She was so confused by the strange faces. Now look at the beautful, confident girl she has grown into. We love you LiLi💖 Love

46 years ago...............................

Today is our anniversary & I  have decided this post will be my version about how we met.......Popster's version would more than likely not be the same but that's how we roll! It was new year's eve 1963....yikes!.......I was a telephone operator in a little town called Huntingdon in England.  It was about 3 miles from Alconbury, an amercan air force base.  All calls went thru our switchboard including ones from the base so consequently we got to know all the GIs.  we would meet them at the Nickel Coin.........pictured here during our coffee..... or should I say tea?....breaks & lunch hours.  Whenever some newbies were transfered in they would be brought to town to meet the local girls. It was not "love at first sight"......I thought he was kinda nerdy & he thought I was a "stuck-up english broad"!  It was a few weeks later when he asked me to go to the movies that I realized he wasn't so "nerdy", so I guess we'll call
