Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree!!

Having a Christmas tree this year is proving to be a challenge with Miss Molly - she truly believes everything we do is for her entertainment! I was not going to bother with one but because I got into all kinds of trouble for last year's lack of decorations decided to think outside the box.I thought I would get a tabletop tree........they had some at our local market but they were kinda "Charlie Brownish". I decided to go to the local garden center..............I will not mention the name as I know the manager quite well! They had 100's of trees.....all for the low sum of $44.95! These are already cut...probably a month or more ago!!!!

I asked if they had any tabletop size........NO..... but they would be more than happy to cut one down to size for me. How much you ask??? $44.95 Bah humbug!!

Today the Popster was out doing errands so I asked him to pick up my christmas cards at W*lmart & to stop at the market to get me a "Charlie Brown" tabletop tree. Simple right! Wrong! He called me from W*lmart & said they had a beautiful 3 foot artificial fake tree. Did he want me to get it! I told him if he thought it looked really, really nice yes! This is what he came home with!!!!!!

Need I say more!

PS. It is now downstairs in his "man cave"!

Forever Family Day

Oh my.....where does the time go!  Ten years ago this scared & tiny little girl was brought into a room full of strangers. She was so confused by the strange faces. Now look at the beautful, confident girl she has grown into. We love you LiLiđź’– Love

46 years ago...............................

Today is our anniversary & I  have decided this post will be my version about how we met.......Popster's version would more than likely not be the same but that's how we roll! It was new year's eve 1963....yikes!.......I was a telephone operator in a little town called Huntingdon in England.  It was about 3 miles from Alconbury, an amercan air force base.  All calls went thru our switchboard including ones from the base so consequently we got to know all the GIs.  we would meet them at the Nickel Coin.........pictured here during our coffee..... or should I say tea?....breaks & lunch hours.  Whenever some newbies were transfered in they would be brought to town to meet the local girls. It was not "love at first sight"......I thought he was kinda nerdy & he thought I was a "stuck-up english broad"!  It was a few weeks later when he asked me to go to the movies that I realized he wasn't so "nerdy", so I guess we'll call
